  • How do I request for a tutor?
    Fill out the request form at HERE for free. After submitting the request form, we’ll get in touch with you for more details or requirements or can contact us at 8163 8548. After that, we’ll start to source for a suitable tutor for you.
  • How fast can I get a tutor after I send in my request?
    Upon receiving your request, rest assure we’re looking into it with highest priority. We’ll match you a suitable tutor according to your needs within 48 hours.
  • How can I know if the tutor’s credentials are real?
    Parents/ students have all rights to ask for the certification of the chosen tutor’s qualifications when requested. Simply inform us that you need the tutor to bring along their certificates on the first day of tuition.
  • How is the frequency and time of the tuition?
    We will suggest the frequency and lesson time but at the end is up to you to decide.
  • What can I do should I be unsatisfied with the home tutor? Can I get a free replacement?
    We’ll make constant contact with you to get feedbacks about our tutors. In case you don’t want to continue with that specific tutor, you can call us to get a replacement of tutor for free. However, you are liable to pay whatever lessons that were provided to the tutors.
  • Do I need to pay any charges if I request a tutor?
    No. There is no matching fee or hidden charges. Clients don’t need to pay any kind of fees. However, we will charge 50 % of the 1st 4 weeks tuition fee from the tutor in sourcing a tuition assignment for them as a commission. See example below: a) If the tuition fee of the 4 weeks tuition is $200 and is once- weekly lesson. After the 2nd lesson we will collect $100 (50% of $200) from you. You are then required to pay the remaining $100 to the tutor directly at the end of 4th lesson. This is applicable just to the very 1st 4 weeks. For subsequent weeks, you will pay $200 directly to the tutor. b) If the tuition fee of the 1st 4 weeks tuition is $400 and is twice- weekly lesson. After the 4th lesson we will collect $200 (50% of $400) from you. You are then required to pay the remaining $200 to the tutor directly at the end of 8th lesson. This is applicable just to the very 1st 4 weeks. For subsequent weeks, you will pay $400 directly to the tutor. You can transfer our payment to our bank account via internet banking, PayNow or PayLah.
  • Must I pay to register as a tutor?
    Registration is free of charge. However for every successful assignment, the parent or student will pay us the 50% of the commission fee. a) If the tuition fee of the 4 weeks tuition is $200 and is once-weekly lesson. After the 2nd lesson, the parent or the student will pay us $100, a commission fee of 50%, while the parent or students will pay you $100 at the end of the 4th lesson. This is applicable just to the 1st 4 week. For subsequent weeks, you will collect $200 directly from the parent or tutor. b) If the tuition fee of the 4 weeks tuition is $400 and is twice-weekly lesson. After the 4th lesson the parent or the student will pay us $200, a commission fee of 50%, while the parent or students will pay you $200 at the end of the 4th lesson. This is applicable just to the 1st 4 weeks. For subsequent weeks, you will collect $200 directly from the parent or tutor.
  • What are the criteria to sign up as a tutor?
    You must be a Singaporean or a Permanent Resident. You need to be over the age of 18 to qualify to become our tutor. You must be an ‘A’ level’s certificate holder or similar, and show great results in the subjects which you desire to teach. Tutors should not provide false declaration of academic or profession qualifications, which may lead to serious consequences. Tutors need to take their tuition jobs seriously. They need to turn up punctually or inform their client early enough should they need to postpone the session or if perhaps they’re likely to be late. All tutors should show good personalities and pleasant dispositions.
  • Can I reject a job offer?
    Whether you will take up a tuition job is entirely your decision. We will provide you the necessary information on the tuition job and you have to decide whether you will accept the job. You have to think properly before applying in order to avoid unnecessary inconvenience.
  • Can I negotiate the tuition rate?
    Yes, you are allowed to negotiate on the tuition rate. However if once agreed between you and the parent or student and the confirmation emails have sent out to both parties, you are not allow to change the tuition rate. If you think the rate does not match up to your ability and talent, simply avoid from applying for that assignment.
  • What happens if I cannot make it for the very first lesson?
    Under this kind of circumstances, it’s the tutor’s responsibility to inform the agency at least two days beforehand. You should provide a justified reason, like a medical certificate, for your lack of ability to perform the 1st lesson. The very first impression is important, and we strongly suggest all the tutors to be timely for their 1st lessons.
  • I had conducted my 1st lesson, but due to some reasons, can I terminate this assignment immediately?
    No. The minimum commitment period is 4 weeks. You will need to pay the 50% of commission fee to Tutorsville.sg for 1st 4 weeks of tuition in the event where you terminate an assignment.
